As previously announced, Zoom now requires users to update to the latest minimum desktop version every 3 months — in this case, by Saturday, Feb. 4. Zoom may also require other periodic updates to address feature and security issues. Therefore, all Zoom users should be sure to download and install the most recent version of the Zoom desktop client or mobile app available from the Zoom download center. Affected users may need administrative (admin) rights on their computer to complete these changes.
After Feb. 4, users can continue to access the service from the Zoom Web Portal, but will not be able to join a meeting or log in using the Zoom client without taking the appropriate action listed above. Additional information about these updates is available from the vendor.
