Increasing incidents of phishing attacks, email spoofing, and compromised email accounts continue to threaten the security of the University’s computing environment.
The purpose of this document is to provide guidance regarding encrypting emails to users of the University of Pittsburgh’s approved email system, Microsoft Outlook. University of Pittsburgh faculty, staff, and students must encrypt emails anytime restricted or private data, as defined by the University’s Data Risk Classification, is sent via email.
With the release of Office 2010, Microsoft made several improvements to the Office suite that includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook. This help sheet summarizes some of the new features in Office 2010 but is by no means an all-inclusive list of changes.
