Ricoh SP 5210SR Quick Reference Guide

Overview

This document is a quick reference guide to the Ricoh SP 5210SR printer and provides details for copying, faxing, scanning, as well as how to order supplies and place a service call. For assistance, please contact Ricoh directly at 888-456-6457.

 

Detail

Making a Copy

 1.  Press the "Copy" button on the lower left side of the control panel.

 

2.  Place your document to be scanned face up in the ADF (Auto Document Feeder) or face down on the glass for manual scanning.


3.  On the keypad, enter the number of copies required and press the “Start” Button.

Duplex Copying

This function enables you to make one-sided originals in to two-sided copies.

You can also make two-sided originals into two-sided copies by selecting that option.

Stapling

This function enables you to make stapled copies.

Faxing

Press the [Facsimile] button on the Control Panel.

Auto-dial

1.  Set your original on the Document Feeder face up or on the glass face down.

2.  Select the pre-programmed destination button on the touch screen.

3. Press the green “Start” button on the control panel to send.

Manual Dial

1.  To send a fax manually, select the “Manual Entry” button on the touch screen.


2. Use the keyboard on the touch screen to manually type in the destination fax number and select the “OK” button.

 

3.  Press the green “Start” button on the control panel to send.

Scanning

1.  Press the "Scanner" button on the lower left of the control panel.


2.  Make sure that no previous settings remain. If there are previous settings, press the [Clear Modes] key.

3.  Set your original on the Document Feeder face up or on the glass face down.
4.  To specify the destination press the [To] key to highlight it then press [Manual Entry] key.

5.  A soft keyboard will appear. Type the email address where you want the document to be sent then press [OK]
6.  If necessary, press [Text] to enter the email message.
7.  If necessary, press [Subject] to specify the email subject.
8.  To specify the email sender, press [Sender Name].
9.  To send, press the [Start] key.

Registering a Recent Destination in the Address Book

1. Press [Recent] Key (The most recent entered destinations will appear)

2. Press [Program Dest.]

3. Press [Names], and enter the name and other necessary information

4. Press [OK]

Replacing a Toner Cartridge

 1.  Push the button on the right side of the machine to open the front cover.

 

 2.  Hold the print cartridge’s front handle to lift and pull out.

 

 3.  Take the new print cartridge out of the box.

 4.  Hold the grips of the cartridge, and then insert it into the machine until it stops.

 

 5.  Close the front cover.

 Adding Staples

1.  Open the finisher cover on the right side of the machine.

 

 2.  Hold the lever, and gently pull out the cartridge.

 

 3.  Hold both sides of the empty refill, pull up, and remove it.

 

4.  Push the new refill into the cartridge until it locks.

5.  Hold the lever and push the cartridge until it clicks.

6.  Close the finisher cover.

Ordering Supplies

1.  To order supplies for your Ricoh device, please contact RICOH directly at 888-456-6457, select option 3.
2.  Make sure you have the equipment identification number which is located on the front of the machine (it is on a sticker that includes the ID# and a barcode)
3.  The University of Pittsburgh’s agreement with RICOH includes supplies, ground shipping & handling, and service for all Ricoh covered equipment.

1.  If your machine requires service, please contact RICOH directly at 888-456-6457, select option 2
