Update Your Wireless PittNet Settings on August 16

Monday, August 10, 2015 - 14:38

We are constantly working to enhance our Wireless PittNet service. This summer, we are upgrading the certificates that are used to connect to our network. As a result, you may need to re-connect your computer, phone, or tablet to Wireless PittNet beginning August 16, 2015. You will also need to update your computer on or after August 16 if you connect to a wired network port in a residence hall or a public area (for example, a classroom or conference room).

In many cases, the update may be as simple as installing a new certificate on your phone or tablet when you are prompted to do so. In other cases, you may need to run an automated connection wizard that will update your computer.

We have created a special page on our Web site that explains what actions you may need to take after the certificates are upgraded on August 15. We encourage you to review the information on this page to help ensure a smooth transition.
