The Pitt Mobile App Challenge Starts Oct. 19

Wednesday, October 14, 2015 - 13:39

Put your thinking caps on. The Pitt Mobile App Challenge is back! Describe your app idea, sketch out a mockup, or build a working prototype. Take the challenge by yourself or form a team. The choice is yours.

This year the App Challenge is divided into three separate phases: ideas, mockups, and prototypes. Submissions in the idea phase will be accepted from October 19 through November 7. Voting on ideas will take place from November 9 through November 18. The top five ideas will receive $50 Amazon gift cards!

The mockup and prototype phases start later but will work the same way, with a submission period followed by a voting period. The top three mockups receive $250 Amazon gift cards, and the top prototype receives a $2,000 Amazon gift card. All winners will be determined by student voting.

The Pitt Mobile App Challenge is open to all University of Pittsburgh undergraduate students at all campuses. You can view complete details on our Pitt Mobile App Challenge Web page.

If you haven’t already done so, make sure you subscribe to our Pitt Mobile App Challenge mailing list. We’ll send you the latest info about the challenge, including reminders about submission and voting deadlines. Good luck!
