Based on decreasing use of Windows phones and Microsoft’s decision to deprecate support for the platform, Duo has announced that—effective Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019—it will no longer troubleshoot issues related to using the Duo Mobile app on Windows phones.
Windows phone users will continue to be able to use the Duo Mobile app with the University’s multifactor authentication service:
- Duo Push and app-generated passcodes will continue to function.
- SMS-delivered passcodes and phone callback authentication do not rely on the Duo Mobile app, and Duo will continue to support these types of authentication.
