Getting Windows 10

Windows 10 is the latest version of Microsoft's popular operating system. Running the most recent version of Windows helps to ensure your computer has access to the latest features and most up-to-date security protection.

The options below explain how to acquire Windows 10. They vary based on your role with the University and whether you are installing Windows 10 on a University-owned PC or on a personally-owned computer. Before taking the steps below, make sure you know which version of Windows you are currently using.

University-Owned Computers

  • If you currently use an older version of Windows (for example, Windows 7 or Windows 8.1), please contact your department's IT support staff for assistance upgrading to Windows 10—available through the Microsoft Campus Agreement.

Personally-Owned Computers
