Cybersecurity Scarehouse

Welcome to a terror-ific time

Terror Trivia Tuesday

All it takes is one line to send a chill down your spine ...

They’re here. (Poltergeist)     In space, no one can hear you scream. (Alien)
You’re gonna need a bigger boat. (Jaws)     It's alive! (Frankenstein)

Think you’re a real horror fan? Let’s test how deep your knowledge goes.

Every Tuesday in October, Pitt IT will post a famous quote from an iconic horror film on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We’ll post the movie it’s from right here.

  • Week 3 (10/15/2019): "Be afraid. Be very afraid." -- The Fly (1986).
Directed and written by David Cronenberg, loosely based on a 1957 story by George Langelaan. In the film, Jeff Goldblum’s Seth attempts to transport himself using his new invention. When a fly enters the telepod, its DNA is fused with his, creating the grotesque creature, Brundlefly.
  • Week 2 (10/8/2019): “Sometimes dead is better.” -- Pet Sematary (1989).
Directed by Mary Lambert and based on King’s 1983 novel. The word ‘cemetery’ is misspelled by the children who originally find the “enchanted” burial ground.
  • Week 1 (10/1/2019): "They're coming to get you, Barbara." -- Night of the Living Dead (1968).
Written and directed by George Romero and shot here in Pittsburgh. The film was selected in 1999 for the Library of Congress’s National Film Registry.
