Resolved: Issue Affecting Access to Pitt Webmail for Some Mac Users

Microsoft has resolved the issue that affected access to Pitt Webmail for some individuals using Mac OS and the Safari web browser. Full service has been restored.

Pitt Information Technology is investigating an issue that is affecting access to Pitt Webmail for some individuals who are using Mac OS and the Safari web browser.

Affected users see an error message indicating the page is unable to load when they click the My Pitt Email link at my.pitt.edu, or when they click the email link at portal.office.com. Individuals affected by this issue can access their Pitt email using another browser, such as Chrome or Firefox. Users can also configure Apple Mail or Outlook for Mac to check email.

Pitt Information Technology has reported the issue to the service provider and is working with them to restore full service as quickly as possible. Updates will be posted as they become available.
