Review Your Quarantined Messages from My Pitt

If you have not received a spam notification email for some time and want to review your quarantined messages, you can Log in to the quarantined messages window in the Office 365 environment to check.

See the list below - if you don't find the software you need, you can suggest new software for the labs using the online Request New Software form.

Using a Computer or Tablet

You have three options when logging in via a Web browser:


Via lynda.pitt.edu:

  1. Go to lynda.pitt.edu and click Log In.

  2. Enter your University Computing Account username and password on the Pitt Passport authentication page and click Submit.

Secure Remote Access: Connect to a Chromebook with the Pulse Secure Client


The Secure Remote Access Service (sremote.pitt.edu) provides students, faculty, and staff with the ability to connect to restricted University online resources when off-campus or while using Wireless PittNet or using Wireless-PittNet-Fast. The service encrypts traffic between a user's computer and the University's network. You can download and install the Pulse Secure client from The Chrome Webstore to use the Secure Remote Access service on a Chromebook.

CourseWeb Maintenance Scheduled for May 4

CourseWeb, the University of Pittsburgh's implementation of Blackboard Learn, will be unavailable during a maintenance period from 1 AM through 8 PM on Thursday, May 4. Access to My Pitt Video will also be unavailable during this time.

Although a maintenance period has been scheduled during this time, the systems will be returned to service earlier if work is completed ahead of schedule. This maintenance is necessary to maintain the stability and reliability of the CourseWeb system.
