Pitt Software Update Service
Why is it so important to install the latest Microsoft security updates and service packs? After a security vulnerability in Windows has been announced, new viruses begin to appear that are specifically designed to exploit that vulnerability.
If you have not installed Microsoft’s latest security updates, your computer or server can become infected. The Pitt Software Update Service installs both security updates (patches released on an as needed basis to address a single security problem) and service packs (comprehensive, planned updates that correct multiple problems).
