PittNet Complete CD
Note: The PittNet Complete CD is not compatible with Windows 7 or Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).
The PittNet Complete CD configures your Windows computer to connect to PittNet from your University residence hall wall port and configures your laptop to connect to Wireless PittNet from locations across campus. The installation checks for (and installs, if necessary) anti-virus software and configures your computer for Pitt's wired and wireless networks.
PittNet Complete also contains a variety of software applications and tools for Windows and Macintosh users, including Symantec Endpoint Protection, Adobe Reader,Web browsers and other helpful software programs, as well as documentation to help you with computing at the University of Pittsburgh.
Get software
Available at campus computing labs, Pitt ID required.
Software Licensing Services will send a copy upon request. Please be sure to include your University Computing Account username in the request.
PittNet Complete CD General Terms and Conditions
The University of Pittsburgh has the right to distribute the software contained on the PittNet Complete CD through the license from the respective copyright holders. This CD and all software contained in it are provided without charge to University students, faculty, and staff exclusively.
Warranty
All software on the CD is provided "as is." No warranties, express or implied, are made by the University regarding the installation, usability, or fitness of this software for a particular purpose. The vendor or author of a particular program or package may provide such warranties as stated in accompanying documentation. Users may contact the Technology Help Desk at 412 624-HELP [4357] with questions regarding supported packages. All other question should be directed to the author or vendor of the specific application.
Rights to Redistribute
Computing Services and Systems Development has made every reasonable effort to secure the right to redistribute the software on this CD. By using this CD to install software for use, the end user agrees not to redistribute the CD to any other party. Users may install the software on computers owned by the University of Pittsburgh or on their own personal computers. Authorized users agree not to use this software for any commercial or for-profit purpose.
