The University of Pittsburgh is a member of Eduroam, a fast, reliable, and secure global Wi-Fi network developed for the research and education community. Pitt students, faculty, and staff can connect to the internet via Eduroam while visiting thousands of participating universities and research facilities in more than 100 territories around the globe. Likewise, visitors from participating organizations can connect to the internet via Eduroam while working, studying, or conducting research at any University of Pittsburgh campus. No special visitor accounts are required.

Participating locations in Pittsburgh include:

  • Carnegie Libraries of Pittsburgh
  • Carnegie Mellon University
  • Duquesne University
  • UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh
  • UPMC Mercy
  • UPMC Montefiore
  • UPMC Presbyterian
  • UPMC Shadyside

How to Connect

Pitt Associates Visiting a Participating Institution:

  1. Select Eduroam from the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
  2. Enter your University email address and your University Computing Account password.

Visitors to Pitt from Participating Institutions (including UPMC):

  1. Select Eduroam from the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
  2. Enter the email address and password from your home institution.
