The Telecommunications provider has resolved the issue with their services that affected the ability to call the Technology Help Desk from telephone numbers outside the University's phone system. The primary Help Desk phone number --- 412-624-HELP  --- is once again available to those dialing from an external telephone.

The University’s Telecommunications provider is experiencing an issue with its services that is affecting the ability of individuals to call the Technology Help Desk from telephone numbers outside the University’s phone system. Those attempting to call the Help Desk from an external number typically receive a busy signal or a message indicating all circuits are busy. Calls made to the Help Desk from University phone numbers are not affected by this issue. CSSD engineers are working with the vendor to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
