ImageNow Upgrade will Require Updated Client Software

The upgrade of the ImageNow service that had been planned for July 12 has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 26. This upgrade will require an update to the client software.

On Sunday, July 26, the University's ImageNow servers and software will be upgraded to version 7.1. This upgrade will affect anyone who uses the ImageNow application to manage documents.

After July 26, you will have to download and install a new version of the ImageNow desktop client, available at software.pitt.edu, in order to manage your library of scanned documents.

You will not need to change the configuration of your scanner after the upgrade.

  1.  If you manage documents using only WebNow from a web browser, you do not need to make any changes. WebNow will continue to operate in the same fashion as before.
  2.  All scanned document libraries will be moved to the new system as part of this upgrade. No ImageNow users will have to migrate any documents. User security and permissions will also remain intact.
  3.  The installer for the ImageNow client application is available by logging onto the Software Download Service and selecting the ImageNow Client. It will be listed under Perceptive Software.
