Box has advised us that they are ending support for Box Sync 3 effective June 30, 2015. Users of Box Sync 3 will need to upgrade to Box Sync 4 as soon as possible by completing the steps below. If you do not upgrade to Box Sync 4 by June 30, you will be logged out of your desktop Box Sync client and an error message will display. We are notifying Box Sync 3 users via email about the need to upgrade.
To upgrade to Box Sync 4:
- Check Compatibility: Please review Box’s list of system requirements to confirm your computer can run Sync 4.
- Open Sync 3 and Log In: This step is necessary to migrate your files from Sync 3 to Sync 4.
- Download Sync 4: Download Box Sync 4 at https://sites.box.com/sync4/ and install it. Do not uninstall Sync 3. Installing Sync 4 will automatically replace Sync 3.
- Log In and Sync: Use your University username and password to log in to Sync 4 and follow the prompts to complete the migration.
