Dial-Up Network Service

If you do not have your own access to the Internet from home or another off-campus location, the University offers access to a no-cost dial-up modem pool service. Your computer must have a 56k modem.

If you want to access restricted University resources, such as digital research journals and database, you will need to log in to Secure Remote Access.

Modem Pool Restrictions

  • Connection time is limited to two hours during peak periods. The peak usage period is defined as 5:00 p.m. through midnight, every day
  • During non-peak periods, connection time is limited to four hours.
  • Multiple user logins to the Modem pool are prohibited.
