Software in Computing Labs
More than 120 individual software packages are installed in the campus computing labs on the Windows, Mac OS, Linux, or UNIX platforms.
You can also request new software for the computing labs.
Updates to Software
The most current version of computing lab software is installed one month prior to the start of the term unless technical problems prevent the installation or use of the new version. Programs are only installed in Campus Computing Labs during breaks between terms to minimize disruption of service.
Software Help
Many of the packages available in the labs are highly specialized in nature, such as engineering and statistical analysis software. These packages are provided at the request of the faculty for use in instruction. Students should seek assistance on these packages from their faculty member.
