Emergency Voice Mail Replacement for 3-1300 Users Scheduled for October 24, 2009
An emergency voice mail replacement is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2009. The replacement was originally planned for November 8, but unfortunately escalating problems and failures of the existing system require that we upgrade immediately.
How does this affect you?
- You will continue to dial 3-1300 to access your voice mail.
- Voice Mail messages can not be transferred from the existing system to the new system. Once the new system is in place, you will not have access to messages on the existing system. Please review all messages before 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24.
- You will need to set up your mailbox to use the new system. You can do this any time after 7:00 a.m. on October 25 by dialing 3-1300, entering the default security code 00000, and following the prompts.
How different is the new system?
The new voice mail system uses keypad commands that are noticeably different than those you use today. However, the improved voice prompts will guide you through the menus and features. Documentation on new features will be delivered to contacts in your area, and is also available below. If you have questions, please contact the Technology Help Desk at 412-624-HELP [4357]. We apologize for the inconvenience but this emergency replacement is required to prevent failure of the system.
