Voice Mail Message Indicator Light Incorrectly Activating or Deactivating for Some Users on 4-0001 System

A problem is occurring for some users of the Pittsburgh campus voice mail system accessed by dialing 4-0001 in which the telephone message indicator light is not activating or deactivating correctly. Callers are able to leave messages and users are able to retrieve them from the system. Users should periodically dial into the system to check for messages until the problem is resolved. An emergency maintenance period has been scheduled for 6:00 p.m. today to correct the problem. Voice mail may be unavailable on an intermittent basis while this work is performed. Please contact the Technology Help Desk at 412-624-HELP [4357] for additional information or assistance if needed. This problem is not affecting users who access voice mail by dialing extensions other than 4-0001.
