The University Web Conferencing Service, powered by WebEx, is a secure and convenient online solution for faculty and staff to host virtual meetings and collaborate with colleagues across campus or around the globe. The service supports Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
What Can You Do with Web Conferencing?
- Host meetings with up to 200 participants - all online
- Share documents, presentations, and desktop applications
- Record, store, and play back meetings with 1GB of web storage space
- Use features like webcams, chat, polling, and white board
Subscriptions to Web Conferencing are offered at reduced rates to University faculty and staff. The service is accessed through the Web Conferencing portal community at my.pitt.edu using your University Computing Account. You must subscribe to WebEx and obtain host access to hold meetings and invite participants. You can invite anyone to participate in a meeting; a subscription is not required for participants.
